Randy LeSage is a seasoned business executive with a 40+ year background in tangible goods taken to market through mixed distribution models. His employers were firms in mature markets with mature products and entrenched competition. His experiences have led him to develop a keen awareness of a company's need to evolve along with the inevitable changes in its markets, technologies, and strategic resources. His success credits include the financial turnaround of a failing firm, being the inspiration of new products, and being the creator of successful business plans.
Randy's command of operational finance was validated when he negotiated work-out plans with vendors that could have closed a troubled firm. He has set-up the sale or spin-off of product lines for which he had responsibility. In doing so, he knowingly sacrificed his own position to the benefit of "strategic fit". His knowledge of production and manufacturing are derived from years of working in, or with, those functions. Technical training and skills gathered through the years allow him to be conversant in several engineering disciplines.
Randy began his formative years in management inside an industrial and consumer products division of International Telephone and Telegraph (ITT). His awareness of strategy and management concepts grew with each of his advancements. He learned business planning, divestiture, sales management, and several of his current management practices while at ITT. His tenure directing Marketing activities in support of sales at yet another Fortune 1000 firm introduced him to more marketing channels, plus consumer merchandising and advertising methods. He accepted the lead marketer's role at a small regional technology firm and propelled it to national status. Randy met his most exciting challenges when he orchestrated the turnaround of a troubled technology distribution firm where he had total operational and financial control. He entered the realm of global business in 1997 with his recruitment to Amano Cincinnati, Inc. where he conducted the firm's trade on four continents with extensive travel to Latin nations.
Today, Mr. LeSage spends his time and effort assisting a number of technology firms with all levels of management strategy & implementation. Besides filling interim executive management roles, he coaches start-up and emerging business owners on how to scale and finance their fledgling businesses. Leadership pursuits are both paid and volunteer…such as mentoring Entrepreneurship classes at CSUF.
